You're All I Have Left...

...Of the one that I loved...
So this is Hillel, and his mother Sonja, who are quite old characters of mine, and I felt like drawing them both together, having a mother/son moment.
Really love how both of them turned out, but you can probably tell I gave up by the time I got to the clouds

Sonja watched over her son as he frolicked, carefree, across the lush meadows. In moments like these, when she did not have to worry whether her son would be picked on by judgemental unicorn colts for his lack of a horn, or his strange eyes, she was truly happy. She remembered so clearly her one time love when she saw the product of their union dancing among the daisies. Her mind wandered back to the day that they had met...

It had been strange to see a horse in those parts, for sure - but he had been so striking that she fell under his spell at the first words he spoke.
"It is an honour to meet such a creature as yourself, good lady - might I have the honour of knowing you better?" His voice was like cooled liquid gold - so impossibly beautiful - and his golden mane had glittered in the dappled sunlight under the great oak tree. Sonja, although already a mother, felt like a bashful filly beside him, and hardly dared speak, for fear it would whisk away this dream of a stallion. Their time together was impossibly short, but looking again to her son, she felt it was worth every second.
