Spinning Yarns - Commission by JEAikman Spinning Yarns - Commission by JEAikman
Commission for `ShePaintsWithBlood
I am so very happy with this piece, especially because Aria is always the first one to commission me when I have them open, even when there has been no one else interested, and so I wanted to make this as good as I possibly could. Also because I'm always slightly disappointed by how the commissions for her turn out. I want them all to be completely perfect to every detail and they always fall short. But this piece was different somehow, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

The creature depicted is one of her Yarnlings, which you can find in her gallery, if you want to know more about them.
Really hope you like this <3
I may open commissions again after I finish the last two for ^VAngelLJ, but we'll see how I feel after those are done.

A very beautiful depiction of her yarnlings. :3 I especially love the attention to detail in the chest and shoulder area.

Oh my gosh I am SO in love with this piece! You truly cannot know how magical and beautiful I find this!

Where to start? I suppose I will start with the colour scheme. It is enchanting, just enchanting. I love the soft seafoam of the yarnling's mane combined with its lavender skin.
The colour of the sky behind it is most lovely as well and I just adore the misty look everything has. I feel that I am watching this yarnling walk through my dreams when I look at it.

I really like how right set this piece is too. I rather enjoy when a character is pushed to one side with the rest being a vast skyscape or landscape. It makes me truly feel like I am watching something happen by chance rather than that it was planned out with perfect timing. Like catching a bird fluttering past a camera lens when you were trying to photograph the moon. If that makes sense...if not, it is a good thing.

I love how you did the yarn texture as well! That is what I was especially excited to see when I commissioned you as I always find that part fun to draw when I sketch Yarnlings.

This commission is so beyond grand and you are such an amazing artist! You must truly keep up this beautiful work!:blackrose:

I am so very glad that you like this <3
I had a lot of fun with the colours and the placement for this. Originally it was more in the middle, but I felt it needed something a bit different, and I definitely see what you mean about the photographing the moon thing, it seems a bit more magical if it's just chance, rather than seeming like they're posing in front of a camera.
The yarn texture was great fun to do, I agree :) I loved doing something a bit different from the usual horses, so this was a wonderful opportunity and I can't thank you enough for commissioning me
And I'll try to keep it up, and hopefully keep improving  Thank you again for commissioning me
